Natural Cures For Pancreatic Cancer

Pancreatic cancer is one of the more devastating types of cancer, holding a high mortality rate and rapid decline. While Western medicine recognizes primarily surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation as treatment for any type of cancer, alternative medicine has long had several different methods for combating cancer in the body. As dissatisfaction with modern medicine grows, and more diseases become resistant to the drugs available, society may be willing to take a closer look at alternative, natural treatments.


The one common trait that seems to appear in all cancer patients is acidic bodily fluids. Their bodies seem to maintain a lower pH than individuals without cancer. Modern medicine does not address this problem. It focuses instead on treating the signs of the disease rather than the cause. It cannot be said for certain that a lower pH, or more acidic nature, causes cancer, so Western doctors focus instead on treating the tumors and visible signs of cancer as they appear. This would explain, however, why individuals who successfully undergo cancer treatments and rid themselves of the disease, without changing their lifestyle, often develop cancer again in the future.


So if cancer patients tend to have more acidic bodily fluids than normal, it stands to reason that they need to alkalize their bodies to prevent, treat, and cure cancer. Back in the days when Hippocrates was active in fathering medicine, he claimed that garlic and onions could cure cancer. In 1924, we received an explanation as to why garlic and onions may have worked to treat cancer. Dr. Otto Warburg won the Nobel Prize for his theory that cancer cannot survive in the presence of oxygen. Alkaline foods have oxygen present, and both garlic and onions are alkaline foods. While it may sound like nonsense on the surface, these foods alkalize cells and bring extra oxygen, which in turn combats the cancer cells. Therefore, it can be inferred that the best natural way to combat cancer is to alkalize the body by eating foods that are alkaline in nature, or eating foods that become alkaline once the body processes them.

Alkaline Foods

As Hippocrates said, garlic and onions are both alkaline foods, but there are many other choices with a bit more punch to them. Calcium is alkaline, and can be taken as a supplement to combat the fact that most foods are acidic. Any form of calcium is beneficial, but coral calcium is better absorbed by the body, and so has more therapeutic effect. Marine grade coral calcium is even better due to the microbes that reside on it and assist the body with digestion. It also contains a great deal of magnesium, which is an important supplement to using calcium to decrease the risk of constipation. Dr. Carl Reich and Robert Barefoot authored “The Calcium Factor,” in which they advise treating pancreatic, or any other form of cancer, with at least six capsules of coral calcium and 5,000 I.U. of Vitamin D to help the body absorb the calcium.
