Happy Healthy Dogs
Vitamin B is an important element that can improve your dog’s stamina and well-being. A dog that gets enough Vitamin B will have a stronger immune system which can ward off age-related degeneration and disease.
Dogs who are deficient in Vitamin B will exhibit signs both inside and outside their bodies. They typically display unruly behavior, have skin and coat problems, and are usually overweight. Vitamin B has many homeopathic uses in dogs.
Vitamin B is an immune system enhancer for dogs, especially ones suffering from illnesses. Holistic veterinarian Dr. Martin Goldstein says, “Every day, I use injectable B complex vitamins, plus injectable B, because they make sick animals feel better, which helps them get better.”
The Vitamin B complex group consists of: Thiamine (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), Pantothenic acid (B5), Pyridoxine (B6), Biotin (B7), Folic Acid (B9), and Cyanocobalamin (B12).
Supplemental pills are rarely needed if a dog eats a healthy, home-cooked diet. Naturally prepared foods contain more Vitamin B complex than commercially prepared kibble.
You cannot give too much Vitamin B, because it is water-soluble, meaning any extra amounts will be safely flushed out of your dog’s system.
