Home Remedies For Stretch Marks & Cellulite

Coffee grinds are an effective cellulite home remedy.

Any woman would agree that stretch marks and cellulite on the body lower self-esteem and self-confidence faster than any other bodily imperfections. However, while these occurrences are unsightly, frustrating and annoying, they don’t have to be permanent. There are effective home remedies for stretch marks and cellulite that can be performed in the privacy of your home for pennies on the dollar.

Lavender Oil

You can apply lavender oil directly to your stretch marks three times a day to eliminate them. Or, you can add seven drops of lavender and five drops of chamomile oil to one ounce of a carrier oil such as jojoba, avocado or sweet almond oil. Stir the mixture well and apply to your stretch marks several times a day. (See reference 1.)

Homemade Cream

Combine one teaspoon of Vitamin E oil, ½ cup cocoa butter, two teaspoons grated beeswax, one teaspoon apricot kernel oil and one tablespoon of wheat germ oil in a small pot atop your stove. Slowly heat the mixture until the beeswax melts. Allow to cool, transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator. Generously apply the cream several times a day until your stretch marks are gone. (See reference 2.)

Massage Oil

Remove the liquids from four Vitamin A capsules and six Vitamin E capsules and pour into a blender. Add ¼ cup of aloe vera gel and ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil. Blend on a low setting until mixture is smooth. Transfer the mixture to an airtight jar and store in your refrigerator. Apply the mixture to eliminate your existing stretch marks and to your breasts, hips, abdomen and thighs to prevent future stretch marks. (References 1 and 2, please see note.)

Coffee Grinds

You can make an easy yet effective home cellulite remedy with coffee grinds. Please note that this home remedy is not an exact recipe. You will have to experiment with this recipe and tailor it to your body. Simply brew a pot of coffee with at least one handful of coffee grinds to work one area of cellulite. If you need to work several areas, such as your hips, thighs and buttocks, you will either need to make a large pot of coffee or make a few batches.

While the coffee is brewing you can lay newspaper down on your bathroom floor and grab a box of plastic wrap. When the coffee is finished brewing, pour the freshly warmed coffee grinds into a bowl. You can add vegetable oil to the coffee grinds if you would like to soften up the coffee grinds a bit.

Now, begin to massage the coffee grinds into your cellulite-stricken areas. Work the areas deeply and thoroughly from the top down. The massage will help to increase blood flow to your problem areas and tone your skin. When you are finished with the massage, cut a large piece of plastic wrap and wrap it around the area for at least 30 minutes. Wipe off the excess coffee grind mixture and shower. You should repeat the massage several times a week to achieve the best results. (See reference 3.)
