Geriatric Dental Schools

Some dental schools offer specialized courses in geriatric dentistry.

Geriatric dentistry or gerodontics deals with the treatment and prevention of dental problems that come with age. Statistics show that older people and senior citizens are a large proportion of dental patients. Dentistry students who want to specialize in taking care of older people must study in geriatric dentistry schools. A number of schools offer specialized courses in geriatric dentistry.
